Does the patient have an acute myocardial ischemia for which the patient should undergo evaluation and treatment before surgery?
Yes, Has Acute Coronary Syndrome
- Non-emergency surgery
- Acute coronary syndrome
- Evaluate & treat acute coronary syndrome according to guideline directed medical therapy
- Then reconsider Operating Room, with attention to timing of surgery after a cardiac event as best as possible, see Timing section
No Acute Coronary Syndrome
